Shellie Garber

Shellie Garber is an abstract painter and mixed-media artist who lives and works in Portland Oregon. Shellie’s work explores emotion, movement, and the subtle relationship between color and form. Working primarily in acrylics and household paints, she creates compositions that evoke balance, rhythm, and quiet reflection.

Since beginning her artistic journey in 2015, Shellie has developed a distinctive voice rooted in intuition and experimentation. Each painting is created through layers of color, texture, and mark making—in an unfolding and intuitive process.

In addition to her life as an artist, Shellie is also a registered nurse, a role that has deepened her sensitivity to the nuances of emotion, healing, and personal connection. These themes often surface in her expressive artworks.

Her work continues to evolve as she explores new materials and techniques, guided by curiosity and a desire to create her visions of quiet energy and visual harmony.
